Activities and Events

The Ashby Land Trust sponsors events and activities throughout the year.

Recent events have included animal tracking workshops, a wild edibles workshop, an on-line session with Tom Wessels, author of “Reading the Forested Landscape,” a mushroom hike, and several movie nights at the Ashby Library featuring movies sponsored by the Land Trust.

Check out our facebook page at the link below for details of currently scheduled activities.

Join us on Sunday, February 8, 2026, from 9am-12pm for an animal tracking class with Owl Eyes Wilderness Survival at Jewell Hill Reservation here in Ashby! We have held this class for the last few years, and it is always a great time! Please plan to meet at the parking area at the top of Crocker Rd a few minutes before 9am so we can get started on time. Please dress warmly and in layers, wear either snow boots or hiking boots, and bring water and a snack. This is a free event, but registration is required. To register, please contact us on Facebook or email us at info@ashbylandtrust.org . Donations are always welcome and appreciated and allow us to continue to offer educational programs to the community. Hope to see you there!
